Your might have seen Visby. But have you ever been invited in?
An exclusive, private place – and a hosted experience
Step through the gate into a private family garden, where you can taste, make and discover Swedish traditions, with views across Visby and the Baltic Sea.
THE PLACE: KINBERGS PLATS 3
A private side of Visby
Behind a wall that visitors pass every day, in the heart of medieval Visby, is Kinbergs Plats 3, home to the Kjällman family for five generations.
For generations, our family has cared for this place. Now we want to open the gate a little wider and invite guests to experience a side of Visby they would not normally have access to.
Local. Personal. Only possible here.
”I’d love to welcome you in, share our stories and let you experience a little piece of Swedish life.”
Swedish fika & Make your own Semla
THE EXPERIENCE
SIMPLE. SWEDISH. SOCIAL.
Fika like a Swede.
You will discover Swedish fika through personal stories and traditions, from the semla to Cinnamon Bun Day.
Learn the story behind the traditional Swedish semla, filled with almond paste and whipped cream, and make your own!
Then enjoy your homemade semla, along with a traditional Swedish cinnamon or cardamom bun and coffee or tea, at your own table in the private garden.
There is time to explore, take photographs and discover traditional cinnamon and cardamom buns at the family’s fika café, along with local Gotland products available to purchase separately.
A PRIVATE EXPERIENCE
The garden is yours to enjoy.
You have your own tables, your own time and your own experience. Enjoy fika, make your own Semla, walk around the garden, take photographs or simply sit back and enjoy the view.
We take care of the hosting. The experience belongs to you.
